Jillian Diesner, Ed.S., LPC

Jillian works with the Peace of Mind organization, a non-profit dedicated to empowering educators to bring mindfulness-based social and emotional learning into their classrooms. She collaborated with Linda Ryden, founder of the non-profit, to create the Peace of Mind curriculum, Early Childhood edition.

She has also worked for the District of Columbia Public Schools system for more than 15 years in the areas of Special Education and School Counseling, and currently teaches weekly Peace of Mind classes to early childhood students. Jillian is a certified School Counselor and formerly certified Special Education teacher and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia. She holds Masters’ degrees in Early Childhood Special Education from the George Washington University and in Marriage & Family Counseling from the University of Florida.She has trained in mindfulness through Mindful Schools and with Linda Ryden.

An avid traveler, Jillian currently lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband and two rambunctious boys, who helped inspire her journey into mindfulness.
